Been to Amsterdam many times with mates but went over with the wife for a cultural visit just before Xmas. She loved it. Went to the Anne Frank and van goes museums. If you're looking for a decent breakfast head to a Bakers and Rooster.

I lived in Waterlooplein for 3 months. Was OK. Club NL and the Supperclub are great.

Went to Arnhem on kings day 3 years ago on a drunken surge through Europe doing all the bridges that Montgomery done and thought it was superb.
Probably blinded and helped by the fact that the stunning, big titted barmaids bought us all about 10 shots each and drank with us.
I imagine if it's not kings day it might be shite!

On the whole hole I think NL is crap. But Amsterdam is OK.

Always found Amsterdam to be nice and not expensive (I live in Copenhagen mind)
Apart from the weed and the Red light, it's just the same as anywhere, made me laugh

Proper alone here but I don't "get" Amsterdam.
Apart from all the weed it's no different to almost any other major European town or city with a few museums and canals and a red light district.
Plus all the pubs are tiny and it's about £7 a beer, which is only ever filled up about 3/4 the way and they look at you like shit if you ask for it to be topped up.
Oh and it has shitter colder weather than the UK.

The Van Gogh Museum is very good but don't think they show football matches.
Can remember being in Amsterdam the day of that World Cup game when Bergkamp scored the late winner v Argentina. That was a lively evening.
Should have been v England but the silly cunt Not Sir David Beckham got himself sent off.
